the birthday evening was FABULOUS!!!

we celebrated with brad, a high school friend, over drinks and dinner at the cook shop in chelsea!  the restaurant came highly recommended by a fellow new york dog mother, specifically due to outdoor dog friendly seating!

the food was delicious, and the wait staff was courteous!

for my dish, i combined two items.

1. Vegetable salad: sweet corn, cauliflower, fennel, carrots, radish, cucumber, lemon, mint

+ ADD THE SCALLOPS FROM THE FOLLOWING, HOLD EVERYTHING ELSE:  

2. Hand Shucked Sea Scallops celery root puree, curried chickpeas, spinach

+ SPECIAL REQUEST: NO BUTTER, NO OIL, EVERYTHING STEAMED OR GRILLED.

and to the bartender.  😉

and to my friend brad.  gwendolyn and i haven’t enjoyed dining with another non-sister human being like that, in a damn long time!  he is definitely the coolest person from my high school graduating class, and i can’t wait to move here, so that we can dine together again!
